Food and Lodging
HomeGrown HideAways now has onsite camping for tents and RV's. Our bath house is equipped with HOT showers, sinks, and flush toilets (open April through October). We are working on creating a cooking/eating facility, which we hope to have ready by Summer of 2010. Workshops include lunch and we can recommend local cafes and restuarants for breakfast and dinner.

For those without an RV or a tent, we highly recommend Snug Hollow Farm Bed and Breakfast (12 miles east) and Happiness Hills Farm (5 miles west). There is also an assortment of other lodging available in Berea, including Weaver's Rest Cottage.

We do NOT have internet, cell phone reception, or television, but you can entertain yourself with miles of hiking trails, beautiful views, or fishing and swimming in the nearby reservoir.

What To Bring
The workshops offered by HomeGrown HideAways can be highly strenuous and are often held outside. Please come prepared for inclement weather and know your limitations. We have compiled a list of suggested items, but it is by no means exhaustive. Please contact us if you have any questions.

What Else Is There To Do?
Berea is the "Folk Arts & Crafts Capital of Kentucky." On any given day, you might find outdoor concerts, craft demonstrations, plays, contra dancing, or other fun activities. If you aren't completely exhausted after your workshop, you might look into what's happening around town or at Berea College.
